BAKER - EARLY MORNING

Wake and Bake Bread Company | Cocoa Beach, FL Wake and Bake Bread Company is looking for an experienced baker to join our growing team. We're a busy local bakery with a fun, laid-back crew that works hard, helps each other out and takes a lot of pride in what we make. We're looking for someone who fits that vibe—dependable, positive, able to hustle when we're busy, and genuinely enjoys baking. Competitive pay based on experience Early-morning start: approximately 4:00

AM Training:

approximately 15 hours/week for the first couple of weeks Regular schedule after training: approximately 30-35 hours/week What You'll Do Bake and prepare breads, scones, croissants, cinnamon rolls and other bakery items Mix, portion, shape and prep doughs and batters Follow established recipes and production schedules Work efficiently and independently during morning production Keep your workspace clean and organized Jump in with dishes, prep and other bakery tasks when the team needs help What We're Looking For Previous hands-on baking experience is required, but it does not have to come from a traditional commercial bakery. We're happy to consider experience from bakeries, restaurants, cottage-food businesses, home-based baking businesses or other hands-on baking environments. You should be comfortable with measuring and weighing ingredients, following recipes accurately, baking from scratch, working with doughs and/or pastries, multitasking and keeping yourself organized during production. Bread and sourdough experience is a plus, but not required. Pastry experience is also a plus. We'll teach you our recipes, products and production methods. We're looking for someone who already has a solid baking foundation and is excited to learn how we do things. Reliability Matters This is an early-morning production position, and what you make is what goes into our cases when we open. Showing up on time and ready to work is extremely important.
