Baker Savannah Scone Company (SSC) is seeking a Baker to join our team and growing business. The ideal candidate for this role is a dependable self-starter who is willing and motivated to learn. The successful candidate will have a positive attitude, solid organizational skills, and be upwardly agile as the role grows. It is important to note that this is an early morning shift with typical hours from 3:00 a.m. —11:00 a.m.; however, there may be shifts with start times as early as 2:30 a.m., potentially earlier during peak seasons. The successful candidate will be integral to the growth of SSC and may be eligible for promotion into leadership over time. Previous baking experience is required. Responsibilities

• Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
• Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate to create new recipes and improve existing offerings.
• Utilize Point of Sale computer system, as needed.
• Prepare and fulfill shipping orders as required.
• Assist in preparation tasks as needed to support the overall operations.
• Follow opening and closing checklists.
• Work with customer service team to replenish baked goods and other items.
• Clean & sanitize prep areas, workstation(s), and equipment before and after use.
• Follow opening & closing checklists.
• Maintain consistent work attendance and punctuality.
• Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by Leadership.

• Proven experience in baking, experience with scratch-baked/handmade scones is a plus.
• Knowledge of various baking techniques and equipment.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, holidays and weekends.
• A passion for scratch-baking and creating delicious baked goods that delight customers.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitization standards.
• Comply with all health and safety guidelines and SSC policies and procedures, including adherence to dress code and hygiene.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds (flour bags, baking trays, etc.) Education, Certifications and Work Experience Requirements
• Applicants must be 18 years of age, or older.
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• ServSafe ® Certification required (probationary period to earn may be provided).

Pay:

$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
