Job Summary Join our vibrant team as a Deli and Bakery Associate, where your passion for food and customer service will shine! In this dynamic role, you'll be the heart of our deli and bakery sections, preparing delicious baked goods, assembling fresh deli items, and ensuring an inviting atmosphere for our customers. Your energy and culinary skills will help create memorable shopping experiences, making every visit special. Duties Prepare and assemble a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and bread, utilizing cake decorating skills and baking techniques. Handle food production tasks such as slicing meats, cheeses, and other deli items with precision knife skills. Package products carefully to maintain freshness and presentation, ensuring high-quality standards are met. Assist customers with their selections, answer questions about products, and provide friendly, knowledgeable service. Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by following proper food handling procedures throughout the workspace. Restock shelves with fresh bakery items and deli products regularly to keep displays appealing. Support catering orders and special events by preparing large quantities of baked goods or deli platters as needed. Experience Previous experience in food preparation, bakery work, or the food industry is highly preferred. Familiarity with cake decorating, pastry making, or baking techniques is a strong plus. Experience working in a restaurant or catering environment will help you excel in this role. Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures is essential. Strong customer service skills combined with kitchen experience will enable you to connect well with shoppers. Ability to operate kitchen tools such as knives safely and efficiently is required. Prior experience in food production or culinary roles demonstrates your readiness to contribute immediately.
