In this role, you will be responsible for preparing baked goods, pastries, and other culinary items in a high-volume setting. Duties Prepare a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and bread, following established recipes and standards. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to produce high-quality products. Decorate cakes and pastries with attention to detail, ensuring visual appeal aligns with presentation standards. Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to food safety protocols and sanitation practices. Assist with food preparation tasks such as measuring ingredients, portioning dough, and packaging finished products. Support high-volume production needs while adhering to recipe consistency and quality control measures. Follow all food safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers. Experience Previous bakery or pastry experience is highly preferred, especially in high-volume settings or catering environments. Knowledge of food handling safety standards and kitchen sanitation practices. Skilled in cake decorating, pastry preparation, and operating commercial baking equipment. Strong knife skills for precise cutting and preparation of ingredients. Experience working in the food industry or restaurant environment is advantageous. Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining efficiency during busy periods. Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing inventory.
