Job Description

Farm to Cake Bakery is looking for a skilled pastry chef or experienced baker to join our team immediately. This is not a typical bakery job. We are a scratch bakery focused on real food—fresh-milled grains, naturally leavened breads, and pastries made from ingredients you can recognize. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their craft and wants to be part of something different.
What You'll Be Doing:
Producing daily pastries, desserts, and baked goods from scratch Working with fresh-milled flours and seasonal ingredients Assisting with bread production (sourdough, enriched breads, etc.) Managing prep, organization, and daily bake schedules Maintaining consistency, quality, and efficiency during production
What We're Looking For:
Strong baking and pastry experience (professional or serious self-taught) Ability to work independently and stay organized under pressure Attention to detail and consistency in product quality Understanding of scratch baking (not mix-and-bake) Reliability—this role is critical to daily operations
Bonus If You Have Experience With:
Sourdough and natural fermentation Working with whole grains or fresh-milled flour Savory items (quiche, hand pies, prepared foods)
What This Job Is NOT:
Not a cake-decorating-only role Not a low-effort production job Not a place for shortcuts or pre-made mixes

Schedule:

Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
