About Us At The Bread Shed, we craft wholesome, handmade breads, soft pretzels, and artisanal baked goods for local grocery stores and restaurants. We take immense pride in our craft and our culture. As our bakery continues to grow, we make sure our team members grow with us. The Role We're looking for a reliable, energetic, and detail-oriented team member to join our production crew. In this hands-on role, you will be a key part of our baking and quality control process—mastering commercial ovens, shaping artisanal doughs, and ensuring every single product leaving our bakery looks and tastes exceptional. No prior professional bakery experience is needed—we will train you on everything from mixing and oven timing to dough shaping and pretzel crafting! This role is crucial to our following days bake as you will be handling the starter prep work the day prior.

Schedule Consistent Weekly Schedule:

Monday

•Thursday, 8:00 AM

•5:00

PM Sunday Starter Prep:

1:00 PM

•4:00 PM or 2:00 PM

•5:00

PM Weekends Off:

Every Friday & Saturday off!

Note:

Shift end times may occasionally vary depending on daily production flow.

What You'll Do Bake & Monitor:

Load, manage, and de-pan commercial ovens, ensuring perfect crust and bake quality.

Handcraft Goods:

Hand-shape breads and pretzels, prep baking pans, and operate dough mixers.

Specialized Production:

Safely operate equipment such as mixers, ovens, and lye application equipment according to safety protocols.

Package & Finish:

Help package cookies, biscotti, and other freshly baked goods.

Sunday Prep & Daily Starters:

Handle essential starter prep work on Sunday afternoons for Monday's bake. These duties will also be required during your Monday, Wednesday & Thursday shifts for the following days bake.

Team Effort:

Assist with dishwashing, sanitizing, workspace cleaning, and packaging support to keep the bakery running smoothly.

What You Bring Reliability & Ownership:

You show up on time, communicate clearly, and take pride in managing your craft to work independently once trained.

Physical Stamina:

Comfortable standing on your feet for 8+ hours, working around hot ovens, and lifting up to 60 lbs in a fast-paced environment.

Great Attitude:

A positive mindset, strong work ethic, basic math skills, and a collaborative spirit.

Flexibility:

Willingness to stay until daily production runs are finished.
