Job Description

The Role:
The Baker is responsible for preparing high-quality baked goods, including breads, pastries, and desserts, following recipes and maintaining quality control. Key Responsibilities Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts according to recipes and standards. Ensure all baked goods meet high-quality standards in taste, appearance, and freshness.
Ingredient Management:
Accurately measure and mix ingredients for batters and doughs, and monitor ingredient inventory.
Baking Process:
Operate and monitor ovens and mixing machines, adjusting settings for proper cooking times and temperatures.
Decoration and Presentation:
Decorate and finish baked items using glazes, icings, and other edible decorations to enhance their presentation. Keep the baking area and equipment clean and organized. Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations. Work with other kitchen staff and the culinary team.
Waste Management:
Minimize spoilage and waste by using proper quantities and rotating products.
Qualifications & Skills:
1+ year of baking experience in commercial environment Exceptional attention to detail Strong understanding of baking techniques and ingredients Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently. Good organizational and time management skills. Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all tines Flexible schedule based on the needs of Sartianos, their programming, and peak times Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions Strong work ethic, able to work in a fast-paced environment

Physical Demands:
Ability to work on your feet for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 35 pounds regularly. Requires fast-paced movements and occasional environmental exposure to cold, heat, and water. Must be able to kneel, bend, crouch, and climb as required.
