Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them with selecting baked goods, ensuring a positive shopping experience Prepare and package bakery items with precision, adhering to food handling and sanitation standards Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts Upsell bakery products by highlighting specials or complementary items to increase sales and customer satisfaction Maintain cleanliness of the bakery area, including sanitation of surfaces, equipment, and display cases Restock shelves promptly to ensure fresh products are available throughout the day Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing bread or assembling bakery displays while following safety guidelines Skills Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety protocols within a quick service or fast-food restaurant setting Experience with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for seamless transactions Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele Effective time management to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate measurement of ingredients or quantities Familiarity with food industry standards including sanitation, food handling, and serving procedures Previous experience in retail grocery stores or food service environments is highly desirable Join us as a Bakery Clerk and bring your enthusiasm for food service to life!
