Experienced decorator looking to earn extra money this holiday season? The Happy Mixer Gluten Free Bakery in Chalfont, PA is looking for an experienced Cake Decorator to join our decorating team on a part-time, temporary/seasonal basis through the holiday season. This could be a great fit for an experienced decorator looking for additional hours, someone currently working part-time elsewhere, or a talented decorator who wants to pick up extra work during the busy holiday season. This is an experienced decorating position. Applicants should already be comfortable independently decorating cakes in a professional bakery environment. What You'll Be Doing Decorating buttercream birthday and celebration cakes Executing custom cake designs using a variety of decorating techniques Working with buttercream and fondant Creating detailed piping, writing and other custom decorations Assisting with tiered and more detailed custom cakes based on experience Keeping our display case filled with beautiful cakes and cupcakes Working alongside an experienced decorating and bakery team Schedule Part-time, seasonal position We can be very flexible with days and hours for the right experienced decorator Approximately 2-3 shifts per week , based on availability and bakery needs Weekend availability is strongly preferred Additional hours may occasionally be available during busy holiday weeks Position is expected to run through the 2026 holiday season. There may be an opportunity for continued part-time work beyond the seasonal period based on business needs, availability, and mutual fit. Ideal Candidate Has 3+ years of professional cake decorating experience Can independently decorate cakes efficiently and to a high standard Has experience with buttercream and custom cake designs Fondant and tiered-cake experience is a strong plus Can work from customer inspiration photos while maintaining bakery standards Is dependable, flexible and comfortable working as part of a team Takes pride in creating cakes that become part of our customers' celebrations Please Include Photos of Your Work Because this position requires prior decorating experience, please include a portfolio, photos, or a link showing examples of cakes you have personally decorated.
