Job Description

Opening Baker Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and motivated Opening Baker to lead our early morning baking operations. This role is essential to ensuring our bakery is fully stocked with fresh, high-quality breads and pastries before customers arrive. The ideal candidate takes pride in consistency, works well independently, and thrives in a fast-paced production environment.
Schedule:
Tuesday through Saturday, 2:00 AM - 10:00 AM Key Responsibilities Prepare, bake, and finish breads, pastries, and other baked goods according to established recipes and quality standards. Follow production schedules to ensure products are ready on time for daily operations. Monitor baking times, temperatures, and product quality to maintain consistency. Prepare doughs, proof products, and assist with lamination as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area while following all food safety guidelines. Operate bakery equipment safely and efficiently. Communicate with team members to ensure a smooth transition as additional staff arrive. What We're Looking For Previous baking or commercial food production experience preferred. Ability to work independently during early morning hours with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing consistent, high-quality products. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Reliable, punctual, and able to follow established recipes and production procedures. Skills for Success Bread and pastry baking techniques Lamination and dough handling Time management and multitasking Quality control and attention to detail Food safety and sanitation practices Ability to work independently and collaboratively Qualifications Previous baking experience preferred. Commercial bakery or food production experience is a plus. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift ingredients or products as needed. Availability to work early morning shifts. #warwick
