Baker / Pastry Team Member The Gelatist - Greenville, SC The Gelatist is looking for a reliable, experienced, and detail-oriented Baker/Pastry Team Member to join our dessert shop in Greenville, SC. We are looking for someone who enjoys baking and takes pride in creating high-quality cakes, pastries, and desserts. The ideal candidate should be able to work efficiently, follow recipes accurately, maintain consistency, and keep the kitchen clean and organized. Responsibilities Prepare cakes, cheesecakes, cookies, brownies, pastries, and other desserts Prepare and decorate cakes and specialty desserts Make creams, fillings, frostings, whipped cream, and other dessert components Follow recipes and accurately measure ingredients Prepare bakery products according to daily production needs Maintain consistent quality, portion sizes, appearance, and taste Keep the bakery and kitchen clean and organized Properly store ingredients and finished products Follow food safety and sanitation procedures Work independently and complete assigned tasks on time Help with new seasonal and specialty dessert items when needed Qualifications Previous professional baking or pastry experience preferred Cake decorating experience is a plus Experience with cakes, cheesecakes, cookies, brownies, or pastries preferred Ability to follow recipes and instructions carefully Strong attention to detail Good organization and time-management skills Reliable and punctual Able to work independently Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment Must maintain a clean and sanitary workspace Food Handler or ServSafe certification is a plus Schedule We are looking for someone with flexible availability , including some weekends when needed. Part-time or full-time opportunities may be available depending on experience and availability.
