Responsibilities Prepare a variety of baked goods, pastries, and desserts with attention to detail and presentation. Decorate cakes and confections using professional cake decorating techniques to create appealing designs. Handle food production tasks including mixing, baking, frosting, and assembling products efficiently. Package finished items securely for retail display or catering orders, maintaining product integrity. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety standards. Assist in food preparation for catering events or restaurant service, ensuring timely delivery of quality products. Use knife skills expertly to cut, portion, and prepare ingredients as required for various recipes. Follow all food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene at all times. Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals while upholding high standards of quality. Engage with customers when necessary, providing friendly service and answering questions about our baked goods. Experience Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or pastry arts within a commercial food environment. Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations. Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper handling procedures in the food industry. Previous restaurant or catering experience is highly desirable. Demonstrated proficiency in using culinary tools such as knives and baking equipment. Experience with packaging baked goods for retail or catering purposes is a plus. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
