Mornings at Bayside Fresh Market smell and taste so good! Bakery Associates prepare daily baked items, including cookies, muffins, biscuits, breakfast pastries, and breads. Join the award-winning team at Bayside Fresh Market Bakery!

MAIN DUTIES

Prepare daily baked items including cookies, muffins, biscuits, breakfast pastries, etc. Manipulating dough and pastry, assembling items, kneading and stretching and cutting dough, baking. Measuring, mixing, baking, and assembling baked items; will also cut/slice, display, and package items in a visually appealing manner. Ensure ingredients are stocked and rotated; notifying manager if inventory runs low or getting close to expiration date. Clean, sanitize, and organize work areas and ensure equipment is in good working order. Always follow food safety guidelines. May also greet and service customers, making product suggestions and recommendations. May also stock and organize displays and showcases. Performs other duties as directed by his/her supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Current Food Handlers certificate or ability to acquire within two weeks of employment. Ability to read, speak, and write English. Basic math skills. Previous customer service experience valued and ability to work well as part of a team
