About Maven Meals Maven Meals is a prepared meal company in SeaTac. Every week we cook, bake, and pack hundreds of fresh meals, baked goods, and snack mixes, and deliver to homes and offices across the Puget Sound area. Real ingredients, made by hand, nothing weird. We work hard, we take pride in the food, and we show up for each other. The Role We're looking for someone to assist our baker in the production of cookies and snack mixes, as well as portioning and packaging these items. This is a hands-on production role, and you don't need a culinary background to do it well. What we need is someone organized and efficient, who works at a steady pace, keeps an accurate count, and takes pride in the details. Everything you pack goes straight to a customer's door with our name on it. This Is Back of the House Production If you're picturing a bakery counter or a decorating job, this isn't it, and that's a good thing.
We pack in volume:
tray after tray of the same cookie, bin after bin of granola, run after run of snack mix - to the same weight and the same look every time. This role is ideal for someone who: Likes repetitive work done well and finds a rhythm in it Is precise about counts, weights, dates, and labels Takes satisfaction in a clean station and a finished, organized pack-out Wants a short, predictable shift with no late nights What You'll Do Read fulfillment sheets accurately and pack to the counts listed Process and scoop cookie doughs, and help measure out ingredients Portion, weigh, and package baked goods and snack mixes Label and date product correctly, and record accurate inventory Rotate perishable product and pull anything that doesn't meet our standard Keep packaging supplies stocked and organized Keep your station clean and food-safe throughout the shift Communicate with the baker and manager on counts and deadlines
The Schedule Days:
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday Hours:
8am-2pm. Start and end times can flex for the right person. About 18 hours per week No late nights. Three consistent days you can build the rest of your week around.
What We're Looking For Required:
Organized and efficient - you work steadily and keep track of what you've finished Accurate with numbers: counts, weights, and inventory Able to follow written packing specs and fulfillment sheets Comfortable on your feet for the full shift and lifting 30+ lbs Current Washington State Food Handler Card, or able to get one before your first shift Clear communicator who shows up on time for their crew Bonus points: Experience portioning or packaging in a kitchen, bakery, or production setting ServSafe certification Bilingual English/Spanish/Vietnamese You're a Great Fit If… You'd rather have a clear task list and finish it right than improvise You notice a count is off before anyone else does You keep a tidy station without being asked You're honest, accountable, and steady when the day gets busy You like knowing the thing you packed is on someone's table this week Compensation & Benefits $18-$20/hour, based on experience Tips shared among the team, typically about $2.50/hour more Free weekly meals Paid sick leave and paid time off 401(k) with employer matching Referral bonuses One block from light rail, and free parking How to Apply Think this sounds like your kind of kitchen?
