The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a deep understanding of baking techniques. As a Baker, you will be responsible for creating a variety of baked goods, ensuring quality and consistency while adhering to food safety standards. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Duties Prepare and bake a wide range of products including breads, pastries, cakes, and cookies. Follow recipes accurately to ensure the quality and consistency of baked goods. Measure and mix ingredients using appropriate tools and techniques. Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and baking pans safely and effectively. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace in accordance with food safety regulations. Package finished products for display or sale while ensuring proper labeling. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to fulfill catering orders or special requests. Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and assist in ordering as needed. Qualifications Proven experience in food preparation or baking within a restaurant or catering environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Proficiency with kitchen tools including knives and measuring instruments. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy kitchen setting. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Creativity in developing new recipes or improving existing ones is a plus. Flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings, weekends, or holidays as required.
