Carrara Pastries is looking for a friendly, reliable, and hardworking team member to join us as a Part-Time Barista / Cashier / Pastry Prep . This is a hands-on position where you'll help create a welcoming experience for our guests while supporting our café and pastry operations. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, has a positive attitude, pays attention to detail, and is comfortable staying busy in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Greet guests and provide friendly, welcoming service Take customer orders and operate the POS/cash register Prepare espresso drinks, coffee, and other beverages Package and serve pastries and other menu items Help with basic pastry preparation and finishing Restock pastries, supplies, and front-of-house items Keep the café, counter, and work areas clean and organized Help maintain attractive pastry displays Assist with opening and closing duties Answer questions about our pastries, drinks, and menu items Suggest pastries and other items to customers when appropriate Follow food safety, cleanliness, and company standards Work as part of a team to keep daily operations running smoothly What We're Looking For Friendly and positive attitude Reliable and dependable Strong customer-service skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to multitask and stay organized Attention to cleanliness and detail Willingness to learn about coffee, pastries, and our products Previous barista, cashier, café, bakery, or restaurant experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person Schedule Part-time We are looking for someone with flexible availability , including mornings, weekends, and holidays when needed.
