We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about coffee, dedicated to providing excellent service, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a Barista, you will play a key role in creating delicious coffee beverages, engaging with customers, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the coffee shop.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, and specialty drinks, following established recipes and standards. Operate espresso machines, coffee grinders, and other equipment with precision and efficiency. Provide friendly and attentive customer service, welcoming guests, taking orders, and addressing inquiries or concerns. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the coffee bar, equipment, and seating areas. Monitor and restock coffee supplies, including coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other ingredients. Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures at all times. Upsell additional items such as pastries, snacks, and merchandise to enhance the customer experience. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and timely service during peak hours. Attend training sessions and stay informed about coffee trends, new products, and brewing techniques. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including processing payments and providing change.

Requirements:

Must be available to work on weekends Previous experience as a barista or in a customer service role, preferably in a coffee shop or cafe setting. Passion for coffee and a desire to learn about different coffee varieties, brewing methods, and flavor profiles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner. Ability to work well under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Knowledge of espresso machine operation and basic coffee preparation techniques is preferred but not required. Food handler's permit or willingness to obtain one upon hire.
