In person Job Overview We are looking for a dependable, friendly, and team-oriented Cashier / Barista to join our company cafeteria team. Our cafeteria serves employees only and is not open to the general public. This position is responsible for operating the cashier station, preparing coffee and other beverages, assisting employees with purchases, restocking supplies, and helping with basic inventory. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, personable, and comfortable working independently as well as part of a small kitchen team. A current and valid Food Handler Card is required. Responsibilities Greet employees and provide friendly and professional service at the cafeteria. Operate the POS system accurately and efficiently. Process card transactions and maintain accuracy when handling payments. Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based drinks, and other beverages. Maintain an organized cashier and beverage station. Restock cups, lids, condiments, utensils, beverages, and other cafeteria items as needed. Assist with monitoring inventory levels and notify the Chef when supplies are running low. Assist with receiving, organizing, and stocking cafeteria supplies. Help maintain accurate counts of assigned inventory items. Keep the cashier and beverage areas neat and presentable throughout the shift. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Work closely with the Chef and other cafeteria team members to support daily operations. Perform other related cafeteria duties as assigned. Requirements Current and valid Food Handler Card . Dependable, punctual, and able to consistently work a 6:00 a.m. start time. Friendly and professional communication skills. Ability to accurately handle cash and card transactions. Ability to learn and comfortably operate a POS system. Ability to prepare coffee and other beverages according to established procedures. Basic organizational skills and ability to assist with inventory and stocking. Ability to work efficiently in a small team environment. Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift. Previous cashier, barista, cafeteria, restaurant, or food-service experience is preferred but not required. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
