Duties Greet customers warmly and take their orders with enthusiasm, ensuring accuracy and efficiency using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and light food items while maintaining high standards of food safety and food handling procedures. Operate cash registers, process payments accurately through POS systems, handle cash and credit card transactions, and give correct change using basic math skills. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food prep stations, counters, and seating areas in accordance with food safety regulations. Manage multiple tasks simultaneously by practicing effective time management to serve customers promptly during busy periods. Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies, monitoring product freshness, and communicating stock needs to team members. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions or concerns promptly, ensuring a positive experience that encourages repeat visits. Experience Previous barista experience or coffee industry background is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude and excellent communication abilities. Ability to handle cash accurately, perform retail math confidently, and manage cash handling responsibilities effectively. Knowledge of food safety standards, food preparation techniques, and proper food handling procedures in a café or retail environment. Demonstrated ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Basic math skills for cashiering transactions and inventory management are essential for success in this role.
