Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team at our bustling café. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality coffee and food items. Your ability to engage with customers, manage time effectively, and provide exceptional service will contribute to the overall success of our café. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system for cash handling and processing customer transactions efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Uphold food safety standards and regulations in all food handling practices. Cleaning, washing dishes, mopping and overall cleaning tasks will be performed during and after each shift. Experience Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred but not required. Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques is a plus. Strong cash handling skills and basic math proficiency for accurate transaction processing. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A friendly demeanor with strong communication skills to help create a positive customer experience. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated when needed.
