Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be the face of our café, responsible for crafting high-quality beverages and providing exceptional customer service. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that every customer leaves with a smile and a delicious drink in hand. Your role will also involve maintaining cleanliness and adhering to food safety standards while creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences. Operate the POS system efficiently to process transactions accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including workstations, equipment, and seating areas. Adhere to food safety guidelines and best practices in food handling and preparation. Engage with customers to provide excellent service, answer questions, and make recommendations based on their preferences. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of supplies and ingredients. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Participate in training sessions to enhance product knowledge and improve service skills. Skills Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, particularly in cafés or coffee shops. Proficient in using POS systems; experience with Aloha POS is a plus. Strong understanding of food safety regulations and practices related to food handling and preparation. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and teamwork mentality are essential for success in this role. A passion for coffee and beverages, along with a willingness to learn about new products and techniques.
