About the role: Lorella is looking for a barista who takes pride in the details, moves with purpose, and genuinely likes taking care of people. You'll be a big part of how guests start their day, whether that's dialing in a perfect espresso, packing a box of pastries, or remembering someone's usual order.
What you'll do Pull espresso, steam milk, and make our full menu of coffee and tea drinks to spec Dial in and adjust grind throughout the day for consistency Run the register, handle cash and card payments accurately Greet and take care of guests at the counter, answer menu questions Package and merchandise pastries, and keep the case stocked, rotated, and looking good Keep the bar clean and organized: backflush machines, clean steam wands and portafilters, change out milk, restock cups, lids, and syrups Brew batch coffee and track waste and freshness Watch par levels and let a manager know before something runs out Help prepare seasonal syrups and any other drink components on menu Support the back of house during downtime with prep, dishes, restocking, and whatever else the team needs Follow all food safety and sanitation standards, and help with opening and closing duties What we're looking for: At least 1 year of experience in a cafe or coffee-focused role Comfortable on espresso, with a working knowledge of grind, dose, and extraction Strong communication skills and a friendly, steady presence with guests and teammates A real sense of urgency and the ability to stay organized during a rush A hard worker who takes initiative Reliable, on time, and flexible with scheduling Able to stand for long shifts and lift up to 50 lbs What we offer: $20-23 per hour depending on experience, plus tips Morning and afternoon shifts, full-time and part-time available Shift meal and staff discount Health care for full time employees CalSAVERS Retirement Savings Program A supportive team and room to grow How to apply: Send your resume to melissa@lorellasf.com or stop by in person.
