A Barista prepares and serves coffee and other beverages at coffee houses or coffee bars. Takes customer orders, serves baked goods and snacks, runs and maintains coffee making equipment and monitors supplies.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks
- Take customer orders and process payments using a cash register or POS system
- Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and service areas
- Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe and healthy environment
- Assist with food preparation, such as assembling sandwiches or pastries
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and making recommendations
- Upsell additional products or menu items to increase sales
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of coffee and espresso beverages
- Familiarity with Toast POS system is a plus
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Basic math skills for calculating orders and making change
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and coworkers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
