Job Summary We're on the lookout for a friendly and energetic Coffee Bar Barista to join our vibrant café team. As a key player behind the counter, you'll be the face of our coffee shop, crafting delicious beverages, providing top-notch customer service, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and other drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Operate POS systems such as Square to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and providing excellent customer service. Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling and beverage preparation stations, following food safety guidelines. Handle cash transactions with accuracy while processing payments and giving correct change. Support food service tasks such as food preparation and beverage serving to ensure smooth operations during busy hours. Assist in cleaning duties like sanitizing equipment and ensuring the café remains tidy and inviting for guests. Requirements Previous experience as a barista or in food service is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is key! Basic math skills for cash handling and processing transactions accurately. Knowledge of beverage service techniques and coffee preparation methods. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and warmly with diverse guests. Familiarity with POS systems such as Square or Micros POS is a plus. Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods while maintaining quality standards. Commitment to food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
