Job Description

Description We are looking for an Associate Attorney to join a litigation practice in Stamford, Connecticut. This opportunity is suited for a lawyer with early-career to mid-level experience who is prepared to contribute across matters involving complex civil disputes, including liability and securities-related cases. The role offers hands-on involvement in case strategy, courtroom advocacy, motion practice, and discovery while working closely with senior attorneys in a collaborative legal environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, conferences, and depositions as part of ongoing litigation matters.
  • Prepare persuasive legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, motions, and other case-related filings.
  • Manage discovery activities by developing requests, evaluating opposing party responses, and organizing large document productions.
  • Perform legal research to support case strategy, motion drafting, and issue analysis under applicable law.
  • Partner with attorneys and firm leadership on litigation assignments, case preparation, and client matters.
  • Draft and argue dispositive motions, including summary judgment submissions, with attention to factual and procedural detail.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive, proprietary, and privileged information in accordance with legal and ethical obligations. Requirements
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar admission in Connecticut.
  • At least 3 years of litigation experience.
  • Demonstrated experience appearing in court and conducting or defending depositions.
  • Proven ability to draft summary judgment motions and other substantive motion papers.
  • Strong working knowledge of federal and state rules of civil procedure.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Sound judgment, initiative, and strong analytical skills in a fast-paced legal setting.
