Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Barista to join our team. This role involves assisting customers, preparing baked goods, and maintaining a clean and organized bakery environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities Prepare and package baked goods with attention to quality and presentation Operate POS systems Assist customers with their selections, answer questions about products, and provide exceptional customer service Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties Upsell products to increase sales and promote bakery specials or new items Maintain sanitation standards by cleaning workstations, utensils, and equipment regularly Restock shelves and display cases to ensure product availability Assist with bussing tables or cleaning areas as needed in the café or retail space Experience Previous experience as a barista preferred Familiarity with POS systems Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods Prior experience in bakery, café, grocery store, or restaurant settings will be highly valued
