Job Summary Mechanism Coffee Roasters

•Etown is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Beverage Service Worker to support daily café operations and provide efficient, welcoming service to guests. This role involves taking orders, preparing and serving beverages, assisting with food service, maintaining clean work areas, restocking supplies, and supporting the café team during daily operations. Responsibilities Welcome customers warmly and provide friendly, professional service. Take customer orders accurately and efficiently. Prepare and serve coffee, tea, specialty beverages, and other café drinks according to established procedures. Assist with beverage presentation and ensure orders are prepared accurately. Support food preparation, packaging, and service as needed. Answer customer questions about beverages, menu items, and available options. Operate the point-of-sale system and process customer payments accurately. Maintain clean and organized beverage stations, counters, tables, and service areas. Clear tables and help maintain a neat and welcoming customer environment. Restock coffee, beverages, cups, lids, napkins, utensils, ingredients, and other supplies. Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general café duties. Follow food handling, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace safety procedures. Handle beverage equipment, ingredients, and supplies carefully and safely. Communicate customer requests, supply needs, and service concerns to supervisors. Help maintain consistent beverage quality, presentation, and order accuracy. Support coworkers during busy service periods and help maintain efficient café operations. Assist with organizing service stations and preparing supplies for daily operations. Perform other beverage service and customer support duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous coffee shop, café, restaurant, food service, or customer service experience is preferred but not required. Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Comfortable working in a fast-paced café environment. Good attention to detail and order accuracy. Willingness to learn beverage preparation and café service procedures. Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow food safety practices. Reliable, punctual, and responsible work habits.
