Up front, our café serves a curated menu of lattes, specialty teas, pastries, and savory bites in a bright, playful space designed around everything cat. In the back, our interactive cattery lets guests meet, learn about, and play with our cats in a purpose-built lounge run by its own dedicated team. As a Guest Experience Associate, you are the person who helps bring the Pink Paws experience to life from the moment a guest walks through the door. You'll welcome guests, manage the register and check-in process, explain how everything works, answer questions, and help guests navigate their visit. You'll also be cross-trained in barista and food preparation and may support events, activities, and other experiences when needed. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys people, notices what guests need, communicates naturally, and stays calm and organized when the space gets busy. What you'll do Welcome guests and create a warm first impression. Manage the POS, check-in, admissions, reservations, and other front-of-house transactions. Explain the Pink Paws experience, house rules, safety guidelines, and appropriate interactions with the cats. Answer questions about Pink Paws, our cats, café menu, events, and experiences. Help guests navigate their visit and step in when they need assistance. Keep the front-of-house area clean, organized, stocked, and welcoming. Support events, activities, missions, parties, and other experiences when needed. Learn our cats, their personalities, behavior, and basic needs well enough to talk about them naturally with guests. Cross-training At Pink Paws, our front-of-house team is cross-trained. You'll learn: Barista and café operations Espresso, food preparation, and cooking Our cats, their behavior, and appropriate interaction Supporting events and guest experiences Your primary responsibility is guest experience, but you should be comfortable stepping into the café and helping wherever the team needs you. During quieter periods, you may be the primary FOH team member and need to manage both guest experience and café responsibilities. What we're looking for Warm, friendly, and naturally comfortable with people. Observant and genuinely interested in helping others. A strong communicator who can explain things clearly without sounding scripted. Calm and organized when several things are happening at once. Reliable and on time — every shift matters on a small team. Comfortable learning POS systems, recipes, and procedures. Customer service, hospitality, retail, or food service experience preferred, but not required. Comfortable around cats and interested in learning about their behavior and needs. Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team. Comfortable being on your feet and working weekends.
