MIAMI GRIND COFFEE

is seeking a friendly, dependable, and energetic Barista to join the coffee shop team. The ideal candidate will prepare quality coffee and specialty beverages, welcome guests, take accurate orders, operate the POS system, maintain a clean coffee bar, and support smooth daily café operations. This position is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys coffee, hospitality, and working in a fast-paced team environment. Key Responsibilities Welcome guests warmly and provide friendly, professional service. Prepare espresso, brewed coffee, tea, and specialty beverages according to café standards. Operate espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other café equipment safely. Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently. Operate the POS system and process cash and card payments accurately. Answer guest questions about coffee, beverages, menu items, and available options. Maintain consistent beverage quality, presentation, and portion standards. Keep the coffee bar, counters, tables, and service areas clean and organized. Restock coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, lids, food items, and other supplies. Assist with basic food and pastry preparation as needed. Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Monitor supplies and communicate low-stock items to management. Support team members during busy service periods. Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and daily café duties. Handle guest requests and concerns in a polite and professional manner. Perform additional responsibilities assigned by café management. Requirements Previous barista, café, restaurant, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required. Basic knowledge of coffee and beverage preparation. Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced café environment. Strong attention to detail and order accuracy. Basic POS and cash-handling experience is a plus. Ability to follow recipes, procedures, and sanitation standards. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine café duties. Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
