Job Summary ITSI Coffee is seeking an experienced, friendly, and dependable Senior Barista to support daily coffee-bar operations and help maintain high standards of beverage quality and hospitality. The Senior Barista will prepare specialty coffee and espresso beverages, support and guide other baristas, maintain café equipment, assist with inventory, and help ensure efficient service during busy periods. Key Responsibilities Prepare espresso, brewed coffee, tea, and specialty beverages according to café standards Dial in espresso and adjust grind settings to maintain consistent extraction and beverage quality Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other café equipment Support and guide baristas during daily service Assist with training new team members on beverage preparation, recipes, equipment, and service procedures Ensure beverage quality, presentation, and portion standards are consistently maintained Welcome guests and provide friendly, knowledgeable service Answer questions about coffee, beverages, menu items, and preparation methods Take orders accurately and operate the POS system Process cash, card, and other payments accurately Monitor coffee beans, milk, syrups, ingredients, cups, and other café supplies Assist with inventory counts, restocking, and supply organization Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked coffee bar Clean and sanitize espresso equipment, grinders, utensils, counters, and workstations Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures Coordinate bar workflow and support the team during busy service periods Assist with opening, closing, and daily cleaning procedures Report equipment problems, inventory needs, or operational concerns to management Perform other duties assigned by café management Requirements Previous barista experience with strong coffee and espresso knowledge Previous senior barista, lead barista, or café leadership experience is preferred Knowledge of espresso preparation, extraction, and coffee brewing Ability to support, train, and work effectively with other baristas Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude Strong communication and teamwork skills Excellent attention to detail and beverage quality Basic POS and cash-handling experience Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced café environment Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to follow recipes, procedures, and quality standards Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine café tasks Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays Benefits Competitive hourly pay Tips where applicable Flexible scheduling options Employee coffee or café discounts may be available Paid training and development opportunities Supportive and team-oriented work environment Opportunities for professional growth and advancement Additional benefits may be available based on eligibility About the Company ITSI Coffee is focused on providing quality coffee, carefully prepared beverages, and friendly hospitality in a welcoming café environment.
