Our coffee shop has been around for almost 3 years and we are looking to add to our team! We are a small mom and pop shop that prides ourselves on unique beverages that are creative, made with quality ingredients and consistent in flavor and delivery. We are very much a community and passion driven coffee shop. We take our time, make it right and ensure that each guest feels safe, valued and welcomed into our space. If you enjoy connecting with people, creating coffees and teas, we may be a good fit for one another. Judgey when it comes to someone not knowing much about coffee? This isn't the place for you. Our goal is to have baristas that help walk newcomers through the menu and guide newbies as they figure out what they'd like to order. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food service, sales, and customer engagement while working in a fast-paced, team driven setting. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and good energy Handle food preparation tasks including basic food handling, serving, and maintaining food safety standards Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently Manage cash handling responsibilities with integrity, ensuring accurate cashiering and retail math calculations Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing inquiries professionally Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food prep stations and seating areas Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness Skills Proven experience as a Barista or in food service roles within cafés or the food industry Strong knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS for smooth transactions Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently without sacrificing quality Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math accuracy Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and assist customers confidently
