Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our family! As a Barista at Moka & Co, you will play a vital role in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. You will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages and desserts while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. If you have a love for coffee, excellent customer service skills, and the the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities Prepare and serve high quality coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their orders. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including equipment, utensils, and dining areas. Operate cash registers accurately, handle cash transactions, and manage sales effectively. Adhere to food safety and handling guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are met. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and communicating needs to management. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment while ensuring timely service during peak hours. Engage with customers to promote menu items and provide recommendations based on their preferences. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with customers. Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling regulations is a plus. Proficiency in cash handling and familiarity with cash register operations is desirable. Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Basic understanding of retail math for accurate transaction processing is beneficial. A passion for coffee and eagerness to learn about different brewing techniques is highly valued.
