Job Description
The Florence Pie Bar is hiring for a full time barista! We are looking for upbeat and energetic baristas to come join our passionate and dedicated team of expert bakers, baristas, and counter workers. We are a small team and are looking to grow for the season ahead. Typically, all hires are initially brought in for the Counter position but we will make exceptions for the right candidate for Barista. All team members share the following responsibilities: Open/Close responsibilities for the store Keep the store clean, stocked, and organized Coordinate with the bakers to keep the pastry cases fully stocked throughout the day Dishes Directly interfacing with customers providing top notch customer service Ability to think quickly and problem solve Lift ~50lbs overhead Manage indoor/outdoor spaces Manage upstairs/downstairs spaces Stand and work on your feet for 8 hour shifts Stay calm and composed during rushes Keep busy and productive during downtime Handle ambiguity decisively Complete basic prep tasks in a quick and timely fashion Additional Barista responsibilities include: Carefully craft specialty coffee and tea beverages following our set standards and operations Balance quality and speed to produce exceptional beverages in a quick service environment Key holding and cash handling responsibilities Carefully operate specialty coffee equipment such as grinders, espresso machines, scales, etc. Work independently through a high volume rush Comfort with working alone and being a main point of contact in the store for customers.
