Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lead Barista to join our team. Working alongside our owner-managers, the ideal candidate will lead our FOH staff, oversee daily bar operations, and help shape the next chapter of our coffee and beverage program. Key Responsibilities Lead daily bar operations, maintaining high standards for speed, hospitality, and drink quality. Partner with management to transition from our core coffee roaster to a boutique brand. Curate and regularly rotate featured guest roasters, coordinating special events and promotions. Sculpt and manage the overall beverage program, including house syrups, specialty sodas, N/A drinks, and optional beer/wine offerings. Train incoming FOH staff and keep experienced baristas engaged with ongoing education on dial-in technique, latte art, and beverage trends. Manage beverage inventory, ordering, costing, and vendor relations during dedicated admin hours. Oversee daily calibration, deep cleaning, and maintenance for espresso machines, grinders, batch brewers, and FOH refrigeration. Maintain presentation, cleanliness, and stocking across the coffee bar and FOH stations. Qualifications A passion for specialty coffee, hospitality, and creating exceptional guest experiences. 2+ years of specialty coffee experience, with supervisory or leadership instincts preferred. Strong knowledge of coffee extraction, espresso calibration, and milk chemistry. Keen attention to detail, station cleanliness, and quality control. Solid organizational skills to handle administrative tasks, inventory, and vendor communications independently. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a talented FOH/BOH team. Dependable, professional, and able to prioritize tasks effectively during peak rushes. Receptive to feedback and able to coach others in a positive, supportive manner. Physical ability to stand throughout shifts and lift up to 50 lbs. Availability Requirements Commitment to year-round employment. Availability for 35-45 hours per week (35 operational floor hours + 5-8 administrative hours). Availability to work weekends and holidays, our busiest times.
