Responsibilities Prepare and serve a wide range of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and consistency. Operate POS systems such as Toast POS to process sales accurately and efficiently. Handle retail sales transactions with precision, including cash handling and processing cash transactions. Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling and food safety practices, to uphold health standards. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any questions or concerns promptly. Manage beverage service from order taking to drink presentation, ensuring timely delivery during busy periods. Support food preparation tasks as needed, following proper food safety guidelines and hygiene protocols. Assist in maintaining inventory levels and restocking supplies to ensure smooth daily operations. Demonstrate strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a lively environment. Qualifications Previous barista experience or food service experience is preferred; passion for coffee and beverage preparation is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Previous café or retail sales experience is desirable but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued.
