Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, smoothies, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Take retail sales transactions accurately , processing cash and card payments efficiently. Greet customers warmly, answer questions about menu items, and provide personalized recommendations to enhance their experience. Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including counters, equipment, and seating areas, adhering to food safety and food handling guidelines. Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches while following proper food safety procedures. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without sacrificing quality or accuracy. Support overall café operations by restocking supplies, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring compliance with health regulations. Qualifications Previous barista experience or café experience is highly preferred; familiarity with beverage service and food industry standards is a plus. Proficiency for retail sales transactions and cash handling. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers in a lively environment. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate processing of transactions. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures to maintain a clean and safe workspace. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as cleaning and light food prep.
