Job Summary Join our café team as a Barista, where your enthusiasm for coffee and customer service will create memorable experiences for every guest. In this role, you'll craft delicious beverages, serve food with care, and ensure a welcoming environment that keeps customers coming back. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair. Greet customers warmly, taking orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Manage cash handling and cashiering duties efficiently, ensuring accurate transactions and register balancing. Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation and service areas, adhering to food handling protocols. Assist in food preparation and serving, including light food handling tasks within the café environment. Use time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods, ensuring prompt service. Engage with customers to provide exceptional service, answer questions about menu items, and promote sales opportunities. Qualifications Previous barista experience or strong coffee knowledge is highly preferred. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. Demonstrated customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate transaction processing. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience in food service or the food industry is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
