Duties Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and other drinks, ensuring quality and consistency. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Engage with customers to provide friendly service, answer questions about menu items, and promote sales of beverages and food items. Maintain cleanliness of the café area by adhering to food safety standards, cleaning equipment, and organizing supplies regularly. Handle cash transactions with precision, process payments, give correct change, and balance registers at the end of shifts. Assist with food handling and preparation tasks as needed, following proper food safety protocols. Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high-quality standards. Requirements Previous experience as a barista or in food service is highly preferred; familiarity with café operations is a plus. Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for retail sales transactions. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests. Knowledge of non-alcoholic beverage preparation, coffee brewing techniques, and drink service best practices. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and processing transactions accurately. Ability to stand for extended periods, perform light cleaning duties, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
