This is a long-term part-time position with a consistent, regular schedule. In addition to their assigned shifts, this role includes providing occasional coverage for team absences and supporting our coffee cart events and special events throughout the year. We are looking for someone reliable and flexible who can consistently honor their regular schedule and be available to help with additional shifts and events when needed. This is not a seasonal position . We are looking for someone interested in becoming a consistent part of our team and who can reliably work the shifts assigned to them. The ideal candidate has previous barista experience, is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume café, and understands that being a great team member means staying productive even when there are no customers in line.

Key Responsibilities Prepare beverages:

Consistently prepare espresso-based drinks, specialty beverages, cold brew, teas, and other menu items according to our standards. Ability to dial in espresso and adjust grind settings to achieve consistent shots Provide excellent customer service: Greet customers, take orders, answer questions, and create a friendly and welcoming experience. POS:

Accurately process orders and payments using Square POS. Previous Square experience is a plus.

Maintain a productive workspace:

Restock supplies, clean equipment, organize work areas, and complete side work throughout the shift.

Work efficiently:

Stay organized and maintain quality and attention to detail during busy periods and high-volume service.

Team collaboration:

Communicate effectively with coworkers and actively support the team wherever needed.

Maintain cleanliness and food safety:

Follow proper cleaning, sanitation, and food-handling procedures.

Support events and coverage needs:

Be available to help cover scheduled shifts when team members are absent or when additional staffing is needed for café or coffee cart events.

Follow the schedule:

Arrive on time and reliably work the shifts that have been scheduled and communicated in advance. What We're Looking For Previous barista or coffee shop experience is required. Weekends availability is a must. Experience working in a high-volume café or fast-paced environment is strongly preferred. Spanish proficiency is a strong plus , as it can be helpful when communicating with both customers and members of our team. Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility. Proactive attitude — you naturally look for ways to help instead of waiting to be told what to do. Ability to stay productive during slower periods by cleaning, restocking, organizing, or assisting coworkers. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Comfortable multitasking while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with Square POS is a plus. Willingness to learn and follow Alonso's Cafe procedures and standards. Ability to commit to a long-term position and consistently honor scheduled shifts.

Compensation Starting pay:
