Duties Oversee shift operations, ensuring timely and accurate retail sales transactions using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems Lead by example in preparing non-alcoholic beverages, coffee drinks, and food items with precision and care Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, addressing inquiries, and resolving concerns promptly Manage cash handling procedures, processing cash transactions accurately and balancing registers at the end of each shift Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards through regular cleaning routines and proper food handling practices Support team members with training on beverage service, food preparation, POS usage, and customer engagement Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and communicating supply needs to management Requirements Proven experience as a barista with a strong background in coffee preparation and beverage service Previous food service or retail sales experience preferred; familiarity with café operations highly valued Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is essential for processing transactions efficiently Strong skills in cash handling, math, and basic accounting to ensure accurate register operations Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Ability to lead a team effectively while demonstrating time management and organizational skills Commitment to food safety standards, including proper food handling and sanitation practices Flexibility to work varied shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Join us as a Barista Shift Leader where your enthusiasm for coffee culture meets leadership!
