Job Summary PJ's Coffee is hiring a friendly, dependable, and energetic Coffee Shop Crew Member to support daily café operations and create a welcoming experience for every guest. The successful candidate will assist with beverage preparation, food service, order taking, POS transactions, cleaning, restocking, and general café duties. The ideal candidate is a positive team player who enjoys working with people and can perform efficiently in a fast-paced coffee shop environment. Key Responsibilities Welcome guests warmly and provide friendly, professional service. Take food and beverage orders accurately and process payments using the POS system. Prepare coffee, espresso beverages, tea, and other café drinks according to company standards. Assist with preparing and serving pastries, sandwiches, snacks, and other menu items. Ensure orders are prepared accurately and served promptly. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming coffee bar and dining area. Restock coffee beans, milk, cups, lids, napkins, food items, and other café supplies. Clean and sanitize café equipment, utensils, counters, and food preparation areas. Assist baristas and other team members during busy service periods. Answer guest questions about menu items and provide helpful recommendations. Follow food safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace safety procedures. Assist with opening and closing duties. Help organize inventory and report low-stock items to supervisors. Complete additional café duties assigned by supervisors or managers. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous café, restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience is an asset but not required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Friendly, professional, and team-oriented attitude. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced coffee shop. Strong attention to cleanliness, accuracy, and detail. Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Preferred Skills Basic knowledge of coffee and espresso beverages. Experience using POS systems and handling payments. Strong guest-service and communication skills. Good organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Ability to remain calm and professional during busy periods. Interest in coffee, café service, and hospitality.
