We are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista to join our team at our vibrant café. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating an inviting atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality coffee and food items. Your ability to provide exceptional customer service and maintain a clean and organized workspace will contribute to the overall success of our café. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards. Operate the POS system efficiently for processing transactions, handling cash, and managing payments. Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including workstations, dining areas, and equipment. Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of any shortages. Basic food preparation including making sandwiches, pizzas, salads, and eggs using kitchen equipment including ovens, toasters, etc. Follow food safety guidelines during food preparation and handling to ensure compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance the overall customer experience. Experience Previous experience in a café or food service environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and equipment is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele. Basic knowledge of retail math for handling cash transactions accurately. Experience with cash handling and operating a cash register is advantageous. A genuine interest in coffee culture and the food industry will enhance your performance in this role.
