Duties Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and smoothies, ensuring consistency and quality. Operate POS systems such as Toast POS accurately to process retail sales transactions efficiently. Engage with customers warmly, taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and providing excellent customer service. Reliable and punctual. Comfortable working independently. Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including counters, equipment, and seating spaces, adhering to food safety standards. Handle cash transactions with accuracy, process payments, give correct change, and balance cash drawers at shift end. Restock supplies as needed, including coffee beans, cups, lids, napkins, and food items to ensure smooth operations. Follow proper food handling procedures and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests. Previous barista experience or food service background preferred; familiarity with coffee preparation is a plus. Experience with POS systems is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests. Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing register operations. Latte art skills preferable but we will train. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques. Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
