Food Handler Certification Full Job Description Pay:
DOE We're looking for an experienced, hands-on Coffee Manager to help create a hidden gem known for exceptional coffee, high quality products, and a welcoming community that people are excited to discover and return to. The ideal candidate understands proper coffee handling and preparation, knows how to highlight each coffee's natural flavor profiles, and enjoys sharing their knowledge with others. They bring a calm, approachable attitude and balance our commitment to quality with thoughtful management of business costs.
Responsibilities:
Produce coffee and espresso beverages to consistent quality standards, adjusting grind, dose, and extraction throughout service. Design and develop beverages and menu offerings, including recipe testing, presentation, and costing. Operate, clean, and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment, recognizing when service is needed. Train and support the team through patient instruction and constructive feedback. Build relationships with guests and create a friendly, welcoming experience that strengthens our community. Oversee daily operations, including staffing, opening and closing, cleanliness, and food safety. Manage purchasing, inventory, storage, and product rotation to maintain freshness and prevent shortages. Track cost of goods, portions, and waste to support profitability while maintaining product standards.
Qualifications:
Professional barista experience and practical knowledge of coffee origins, processing, roasting, and brewing. Experience in coffee product design, beverage development, and recipe costing. Previous coffee shop management or team leadership experience. Strong organization, dependability, and a collaborative approach.
Certifications:
Applicants must hold or obtain applicable credentials before starting and maintain them throughout employment: Valid Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) Food Handler Safety Training Card or SNHD Certified Food Safety Manager Card. Accredited Certified Food Protection Manager certification, such as ServSafe Manager, if required for the designated person in charge under the shop's SNHD permit classification.
