Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and motivated Barista Shift Leader to join our vibrant café team! In this dynamic role, you will lead daily operations during your shift, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient beverage and food preparation, and smooth team coordination. As a key leader on the floor, you will motivate staff, uphold food safety standards, and create a welcoming environment that keeps customers coming back. Your passion for coffee, beverage service, and team leadership will drive the success of our café experience. Duties Oversee shift operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards Lead by example in preparing non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees and drinks Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with guests and resolving any issues promptly Manage retail sales transactions using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems accurately and swiftly Supervise team members in food handling, beverage preparation, cleaning, and food safety compliance Process cash transactions and handle cash register operations with precision and integrity Maintain cleanliness of the café environment, including sanitizing equipment and workspaces Support training and mentoring of staff on POS systems, food safety protocols, and customer service skills Assist in inventory management by monitoring supplies and placing orders as needed Ensure adherence to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures at all times Experience Previous barista experience with a strong understanding of coffee preparation and beverage service Proven leadership skills in a fast-paced retail or food service environment Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly preferred Experience with cash handling, cashiering, and processing cash transactions accurately Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper cleaning procedures in a café setting Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts Basic math skills for handling transactions, measuring ingredients, and inventory counts Join us as a Barista Shift Leader , where your enthusiasm for coffee culture combined with your leadership talent will inspire your team to deliver memorable experiences every day!
