Position Purpose The Barista is responsible for delivering a refined, consistent, and highly personalized coffee and beverage experience for members and their guests. This role blends technical coffee expertise with elevated hospitality, contributing to the club's daily rhythm through thoughtful service, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of member expectations. Responsibilities Provide warm, polished, and intuitive service to members and guests. Anticipate preferences and deliver beverages with confidence and care. Maintain a calm, professional presence during peak service periods. Communicate thoughtfully while respecting the club's culture and atmosphere. Uphold the club's service standards and values at all times. Coffee & Beverage Knowledge Prepare espresso-based beverages, brewed coffee, teas, and specialty drinks to exact standards and recipes provided. Execute beverages with precision, efficiency, and attention to detail. Maintain knowledge of coffee origins, brewing methods, and seasonal offerings. Collaborate with leadership on beverage standards and menu evolution. Monitor and adjust espresso extraction, grind settings, and milk texture throughout service to ensure consistent beverage quality. Standards and Organization Maintain a pristine, well-organized barista station at all times. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department standards. Clean and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment. Monitor product quality, freshness, and proper storage. Support seamless service flow across dining rooms all club spaces. Communicate effectively with culinary, service, and management teams. Execute opening, closing, and side-work procedures. Preferred Qualifications and Skills 2+ years of barista experience in a private members club, luxury hotel, or fine-dining environment. Strong technical knowledge of all coffee-based beverages, espresso extraction and milk preparation. Polished appearance and professional demeanor. High attention to detail and consistency. Ability to thrive in a high-expectation, service-driven environment.
