Job Overview We're on the lookout for a friendly and energetic Barista to join our vibrant café team. In this role, you'll be the face of our establishment, crafting delicious beverages and providing top-notch customer service in a lively, fast-paced environment. Your enthusiasm for coffee and beverages, combined with your knack for multitasking, will help create a welcoming atmosphere for every guest. Responsibilities Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages such as coffee, tea, and specialty drinks following established recipes and standards. Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and providing excellent customer service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including proper food handling and beverage preparation practices. Ensure timely beverage service while managing multiple orders during busy hours. Handle cash transactions with accuracy, including processing payments and giving correct change. Follow food safety guidelines and health regulations to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests. Experience Previous barista experience or food service background is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key! Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests. Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing. Experience in beverage preparation, especially coffee or café environments, is highly desirable. Good time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper cleaning procedures within a food service setting.
