Duties Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees and teas, following established recipes and quality standards. Operate Square POS system accurately to process sales transactions, handle cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with precision. Greet customers warmly, take their orders efficiently, and serve beverages and food items promptly while maintaining high service standards. Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage prep zones, and customer seating areas to ensure food safety and hygiene compliance. Manage retail sales transactions with accuracy, including processing cash handling and balancing registers at shift end. Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring all food safety guidelines are followed during handling and serving. Support team members with time management by prioritizing tasks effectively during busy periods to keep service flowing smoothly. Baker will bake many products from scratch. Set up and tray pastries to be baked. Make several kinds of dough from scratch. Frost or Ice pastries. Set up pastry case. Experience Previous experience working as a barista or in a café environment is highly preferred; familiarity with coffee preparation techniques is a plus. Proven experience in retail sales transactions, cashiering, or food service roles demonstrating strong math skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of POS systems such as Square POS enhances efficiency in processing sales. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced setting. Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations are essential for accurate transaction processing.
