Job Summary Palm House Provisions is a brand-new coffee shop, and we're excited to welcome a team that can grow alongside us from the very beginning! We're looking for friendly, reliable, and motivated baristas who enjoy creating great drinks and making customers feel at home. Previous barista experience is preferred but not required — we're happy to train the right people!

Pay:

$15/hour + tips Duties Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and smoothies, ensuring quality and consistency. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for retail sales transactions, processing cash and card payments accurately. Engage with customers warmly, providing excellent customer service and answering questions about menu items. Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling and beverage service stations, adhering to food safety standards. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic food handling and beverage assembly. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and efficient order fulfillment. Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling, cleaning procedures, and food industry standards. Qualifications Previous barista experience or café experience is preferred; familiarity with coffee preparation techniques is a plus. Proficiency in using POS systems such as Square POS or Toast POS for retail transactions. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests. Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions, and giving accurate change. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours. Experience in the food industry or retail sales transactions is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
