Overview We are seeking an experienced Barista to join our vibrant café team. This is mostly a weekday morning position. Candidates MUST be available for morning weekday shifts. As a member of our team, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing and/or serving high-quality drinks. Your enthusiasm for coffee and customer service will enhance the overall experience for our guests, making them feel valued and appreciated. Duties Prepare and/or serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages to customers, ensuring quality and consistency. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, counters, and seating. Handle cash transactions accurately using the Toast POS system while providing excellent customer service. Assist customers with menu selections and provide recommendations based on their preferences. Manage inventory levels of food and beverage supplies, ensuring timely restocking as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations during peak hours. Engage with customers to create a friendly atmosphere that encourages repeat visits. Occasional work on our mobile trailer may be required. Experience Previous experience as a barista is required. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and retail math is beneficial. Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience using POS systems, particularly Toast POS, is a plus but not mandatory. A genuine desire to help others and provide exceptional customer service.
